Modern era of all-time NY Islanders lineup: 2000 to present day

Goalies:

Ilya Sorokin joined the team in 2020-21 and has emerged as one of the NHL's best goaltenders. He has been the backbone of the Islanders for the past 5 years and will continue to shine for the team at least until his contract ends in 2032.

Semyon Varlamov is going into his seventh year with the team, even though he missed most of last year with a knee injury, which he is still recovering from. Paired with Sorokin, the two have become one of the league's best goalie duos. And one can never forget his famous slide celebration in a double overtime win vs. Tampa in 2020.
