There hasn't been much to be excited about regarding the NY Islanders prospect the last few years, but that's all starting to change.
Not only are their prospects beginning to produce, but they're scoring some incredible goals in the process.
Home Run Swings
Last week, Quinn Finley (drafted 78th overall in 2022) and the Wisconsin Badgers entered the third period trailing Lindenwood by a goal. With just over five minutes remaining in the game, a Wisconsin shot from the point rebounded through the air to the goaltender's right. Standing insider the faceoff circle, Finley took a left-handed swing at the puck that would have made Ken Griffey Jr. proud, knotting the game at two. The Badgers went on to win in OT, with Finley providing the secondary assist.
HOW DID HE DO THAT? 🤯

Through four games this season Finley has recorded two goals and two assists.
Last night, Cole Eiserman (drafted 20th overall in 2024), continued his impressive start to his freshman campaign at Boston University. The number three-ranked Terriers hosted UCONN, with Eiserman opening up the scoring in the first period for his third goal in as many games. He'd add to his tally in the second period, batting in a puck with his stick just below the crossbar.

Eiserman's first goal of the night came off an assist from fellow Islanders prospect Kamil Bednarik. Head coach Jay Pandolofo played the two together on a line for the first time this season as the former USNTDP standouts were able to find that chemistry again.
There's still a lot of hockey to be played but it has been a fantastic start for the Islanders NCAA prospects.
