Today is day one of the 2017 IIHF World Championship. You can catch a lot of New York Islanders in today’s action packed day one of the tournament.

You can catch five New York Islanders and one of their biggest prospects in this year’s IIHF World Championship. The action gets started today so here’s a round-up of who you can see and where today.

The first action is Ilya Sorokin and Team Russia taking on the Sweedish team at 10:15 am. Start your day with some early morning puck! To my knowledge, it isn’t televised but follow along on Twitter to keep up with the Isles best goalie prospect.

In the 2:15 pm time slot you can catch the US team go up against Team Germany. You have four Islanders in this game. Brock Nelson and Anders Lee are playing for team US. Actually, Nelson is an alternate captain for team USA, which is kind of odd.

The other two are Dennis Seidenberg and Thomas Greiss. Greiss had some solid play in this same tournament last year. You can catch this game live on the NHL network.

Last but not least is Calvin de Haan who is playing for Team Canada. They play at 2:15 pm also against the Czech Republic. Their game is on TSN which I’m sure you can find a stream of.

Lots of hockey will be played and we will keep you updated on the Islanders in this tournament. Also, go Team USA! (Sorry Mitch)
